Reuben’s mum contacted me a while ago as she was keen to get some photographs of her super cute little boy Reuben whilst he was still little. Time ran away with us, but at least Reuben joined us in the nursery studio last week. This is part one, our styled studio shoot (yesterday’s sneak peek featured some of their Christmas themed images)… Coming up on the next post is their family in the park shoot.
I chatted to Lucy and Simon about their gorgeous little boy whilst we were on the shoot…
How old is Reuben?
He’ll be 6 months on 2 Dec.
What made you pick his name?
Me and Si were in bed, both on our iPhones checking out baby names. Reuben was the first name we both went ‘Ooh, like that’ to, and it stayed our favourite. Little bit different but still traditional, and we liked that we could shorten it to Ru while he was little
Does he have any nicknames?
Yeah loads… Ru, Ru Bear, Pixie, Rubes
What are his favourite things?
Muslins! When he’s tired, he loves snuggling on a muslin. He’s teething right now and he also loves chewing on them. And we wrap them round his neck, cowboy-style, to soak up the dribble! He loves his noisy baby disco and can spend ages hopping up and down in his bouncer, squealing with joy. He has a tickle tummy and neck, and will give the best belly laughs and contagious chuckles if you nibble and blow raspberries on them. He also likes anything shiny – lights, chrome, my watch…
(Julia: it is a very nice watch so he obviously has good taste)
What made you want to get some professional shots?
As new parents, you want to take as many pics of your bubba as possible, but to get some professional shots too was important to us. We moved into our new home two weeks before Ru arrived, and want to plaster the walls with lovely family photos.
