A few weeks ago I posted about taking your own photos of your little ones, so last week before I headed off with the lovely Nicola and Jon for their maternity shoot, I thought I would take a few candid family photos of Ian and Mia taking a walk around the lovely Thorndon Park. It’s such a great space for little ones, there are little hideaways and gruffalos to find. Mia had a great time exploring, and even smiled for the camera without prompting. But the last two amused me – as Ian walked with her back to the cafe I loved her yawning – a perfect inbetween shot. But then ian uttered the words I say never to say “say cheese to mummy”… well of course rather than natural grins we had earlier she grinned her largest cheesiest grin – as it happens I love it – but I love all photos of her. But if you want a natural smile, let them play and never say cheese!
