Despite having two photographers as parents we take less photographs than I would like of Mia, being two she’s actually not that keen on the camera (but hoping it’s just a typical toddler phase). So we decided to take a photography day trip, it was a gloriously sunny day (even though it was February) and it didn’t feel too cold in Upminster. So we headed somewhere in Essex Ive always wanted to go… the pastel shades of beach huts in West Mersea. They are as lovely in real life as they are in photographs, however whilst the sun was kind of out, it was COLD, really cold and VERY windy. So our ideas of getting us to all pose on the beach with the tripod quickly went out the window. We did manage a quick 5 minute of photographs (me giving Ian orders as a human tripod, I made him use my camera and I wouldn’t let him change the settings, as we shoot quite differently). I think they came out pretty well…. Ian agrees but is taking all the credit of course!
