For most of our newborn photography shots we celebrate that precious time when babies are curled up small, sleeping and a few beautiful poses (and occasional prop). Because their reflexes are already pretty quick, when they are awake, they rarely keep their arms and legs still. But if babies are awake, I loved to swaddle them and wrap them in the most beautiful of wraps and let them watch me work and photograph their wide eyed wonder.
