8 months is such an amazing age, they are still very much babies but they are just starting to explore the world, they notice everything and their little personalities. Taylor was no different, he loved my wooden toys and was fascinated watching the lights and camera. Look at those eyes!
How to get the best from your baby photographer?
After newborns (up to 14 days but sometimes as much as 4 weeks) the best age is 8 months, at this age babies can sit stably, interact and create the most beautiful collection of photographs. Previous to this age as babies cannot sit, they tend to be family shoots with parents so someone can essentially hold them to face the camera. With a few lying down shots, but no props due to health and safety. At 7-8 months and beyond we can bring in props, capture those huge smiles, amazing giggles and their fascination with the world. I suggest 2-3 outfits, although most babies will prefer just two outfits, like Taylor!
