At least once a year – often more – I sign up for a photography workshop. Even after 14 years of professional photography, I still think other photographers are so inspiring. The bonus with a workshop you get to meet like minded photographers, as well as go create something lovely. A couple of weeks ago I was very excited to go join the inspiring Lisa McCormick for a workshop, just down the road, in Hornchurch.
So on the day we started with a cuppa (always needed) at my good friend Sasha’s, a chin wag (photographers usually spend HOURS alone at home so any excuse to chat!), then we discussed editing, before heading over to the park for three shoots. Its quite liberating shooting just for yourself, only using one lens and not worrying how it turns out but pushing boundaries. I was pretty lucky as I had clients booked in for a family shoot the next day so I got to use some of my new ideas straight away!
So here are a few of the shots I took on the day…
