I think we are all very aware in current times that all of us are expected to do it all, we watch others lives on social media and wonder if we are doing it right!
So you may have noticed in the last month I haven’t posted much, I have been busy working as always. But decided to reduce my time on my Julia and Mia social media. A little experiment but mainly because I, like so many of you, cannot do it all!
During January and February we hardly see my husband. He has been away abroad and out non stop doing lots of very exciting projects. But that means I’m in charge on my own at home, like a lot of you too, my own family aren’t local. So sometimes running a business AND being in charge on your own at home is HARD!
Long term followers will also know my own little boy has cystic fibrosis and severe liver disease, which makes it a little more complicated. I have sadly felt that I cant share a lot about him, as I have had people imply that it might effect my work. One of the sad effects of social media. I have never been late with work. In fact knowing I have to plan around him often makes me extra efficient! I have no choice to put off editing and jobs as my day is very full!!
Next week in fact Jack is off to hospital for a short stay, just to check everything with his liver is ok and not progressing too fast. But Ill have my laptop with me, as I actually find my work relaxing so its lovely to escape behind a screen of editing and photoshop!!
So after sharing ALL of that I wanted to share a video I have been working on behind the scenes of some of the amazing babies and families I worked last year…. I am so lucky and cant wait to do more of the same this year!
Every day I am so fortunate I get enquiries and messages. Emails and via my three instagrams, my personal facebook and my two business facebook pages, whats app, texts and some calls too. But it is so hard to keep up! So Im asking IF possible and you need a fast answer lets keep it to email. If you don’t need a fast reply then message me however you wish that’s not a problem. But with so many avenues to check sometimes something might get missed in sea of messages. ESPECIALLY instagram. There is no way to file instagrams. So if I am tagged in a story, which is AMAZING, then your message gets pushed down. Then on a quick glance suddenly all the messages are story tags so I might miss yours!
