I realise sometimes with my newborn baby photography, the magic of photoshop can be a little deceiving. So I thought I’d let you into a little secret to one of my popular shots for little ones. Some of you may have seen the beautiful shot of babies hanging in a tree. What you have probably realised is I don’t have a blossom tree in the studio, and despite having beautiful blossom trees outside our home I don’t hang babies from branches. In fact babies never actually leave the safety of a beanbag! Lots and lots of my shots are composites helped the magic of photoshop (and sometimes with the help of my amazing retoucher Larissa). I have undertaken extensive safety and photoshop training so it really is a case of DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME, as without photoshop the magic wouldnt happen. And hanging babies from a height is dangerous and shouldnt be done by anyone. But just so you can see a little of the behind the scenes magic.
