This year has been AMAZING! Mainly due to the fact my beautiful baby girl came into the world, but I also got to meet lots of other beautiful babies, lots who also came into the world this year, so it’s been an amazing year for them as well. So congratulations to everyone who had their own bundle of joy. Here are a selection of my favourite baby and family shots of the year…
Starting with my favourite photograph of Mia and me, taken by my husband Ian. We obviously take a lot of photographs of Mia, but the memories are so important as they change so quickly, and we always make sure we frame and print our favourites.
We did LOTS of newborn photography shots, this year. Taken in that first precious two weeks, its a magical time and makes the most beautiful shots…
As they get older I capture their wide smiles and super cute expressions. Perfect for vintage styled baby photography, you can imagine in a large print in their nursery.
I do a special dual shoot with a lot of my couples with young babies. We start in the nursery studio, then head to a local park to capture baby with mum and dad…
Reportage baby photography In the park above, then styled studio baby photography below… all in one shoot!
Sometimes with older children to keep them settled I head to their home, or in the case of Evie and Rosie their grandparents home, using the light in their conservatory (with a bit of furniture removal – it made a great natural light studio!)
Or for group shots we can all head somewhere beautiful, like these in Epping Forest…
I took the one above in another beautiful location, Thorndon Park, Brentwood, Essex of Ian with Mia (I couldnt resist adding another one of her in!)
Ollie again had a mini photography session at his home, before I shot his Christening at the beginning of this year
How blue are Reuben’s eyes?? Whilst doing the studio and family shoots, we can add in some intimate family studio shots, personally I love these with everyone in white as it really brings the focus on them as a family.
Fast asleep… wait 5 minutes and he’s wide awake!
I love babies expression, you never know what you will get, but they are all beautiful… this last trio is Mia (of course!!) we have these in three big box frames going down a wall in our lounge, and everyone comments. To me they sum her up
Happy New year and here is to another year of beautiful babies and lots more friends… oh and a special mention to one of my best friend’s Emma and her husband Ray, who are expecting their first baby in 2012! I think it will be a great year too xx
